The Bishop's University Institutional Repository is a tool designed to showcase and archive the intellectual and creative output of the Bishop's University community, including but not limited to: faculty research and publications, student theses, conference presentations, event audio and video recordings, and teaching resources.
Members of the Bishop's community are encouraged to login and submit current and past publications. Further details on how to login and deposit are shown below.
First, click on Login, and sign in to the system using your BU username and password (same one you use to access MyBU) . Once you've logged in, click on "New Item" and follow steps as directed.
If you wish to deposit an article that has been published in a journal, you will need to consult SHERPA/RoMEO to determine what version of your article is permitted to be included in the repository. Most journals allow authors to submit the post-print (peer-reviewed) version, and many others allow the pre-print (draft) version.
If your journal is not listed in SHERPA/RoMEO, you may contact the publisher directly to ask about their self-archiving policies as pertaining to institutional repositories.
The preferred submission format for theses and articles is PDF/A. To convert a Word Document to a PDF/A document, complete the following steps:
